Common Garments Quartet
2 Corinthians 2:14
Common Garments Quartet established their ministry in 1998. While the faces have changed over the past 12 years, the purpose hasn't. The heart of the quartet in 2011 is the same as it was then; to be led by the Holy Spirit, and to share the love of Jesus Christ through song, testimony and humor. The four guys on the current roster LOVE Southern Gospel Quartet singing and work hard to find that sweet four-part harmony that makes this music so special. Take a minute to get to know each of them.
Rodney Jacobs - Bass

Rodney joined CGQ just two years after the group's inception. As even the founding members had to part ways, Rodney chose to press on with what he believed to be God's calling on his life. He says that even when it seemed that it was inevitable, he just didn't want to let the ministry of Common Garments go and thankfully he followed the Holy Spirit's leading in his life and pressed on. Rodney is owner and manager of CGQ handling the bass singing on the weekends and most of the details throughout the week. Rodney resides in Vienna, Georgia with his wife Angie and their two children Rachel and Landon.
Stan Sheppard - Baritone

Stan Sheppard is one of the most personable people you will ever meet and has done an
exceptional job singing the baritone part since joining CGQ in 2008. Having traveled with
his family for a number of years as the Promise Quartet, Stan brings a lot of experience and
knowledge to the group. In addition to singing the middle part, Stan does a lot of booking
for the group and handles the majority of the sound system duties. Stan lives in Dublin, Georgia with his wife Shannon and their children John Paul, Chris Anne and Stanley Chris.
Jason Griffin - Lead

Jason Griffin has a pasion for singing for the Lord. Jason has a style all his own. When he stands behind a mic on stage, he knows only one thing and that is to sing with everything he's got or as he would say; "step up to the mic and let'r fly". Jason has years of experience
singing and I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy listening to him sing with that powerful lead
voice. Jason and his wife Danielle have two children, Parker and Haley. The Griffin family
resides in Fitzgerald, GA. (Jason's picture is still to come)
Ron Stone - Tenor

Meet our newest member Ron Stone. Ron sings one of the hardest parts in a male quartet, but does a fantastic job finding those high tenor notes that help make this quartet one of the best around. It has been said that Ron is a perfectionist when it comes to singing. He wants to make sure he has a song completely down before staging it. That's a good thing! Although, I think the other guys may spring an impromptu song on him from time to time to keep him on his toes. Ron and his wife Sherri have two children, Ana-Lei and Lindsi. They reside in Nashville, GA. (Ron's picture is still to come)
Terry Giddens - Pianist

Please welcome Terry Giddens as our "part time" - part time pianist. Terry is one of the best Southern Gospel style pianist that I know. He can really tickle those ivories. Terry has had years of experience playing for groups and Old Friends concerts all over the mid and Southern portions of Georgia. With Terry helping us from time to time, we will now have the versatility to work with tracks and accompaniment piano or simply take requests at a the drop of a hat to sing someone's favorite song or church hymn around the piano. When you hear the talent that Terry brings to the group, you will understand why we want him tagging along as often as possible. (Terry's picture is still to come)
