Common Garments Quartet
2 Corinthians 2:14
The Common Garments Quartet established their ministry in 1998. While the faces have changed over the past 12 years, the purpose hasn't. The heart of the quartet in 2010 is the same as it was then; to be led by the Holy Spirit, and to share the love of Jesus Christ through song, testimony and humor. The four guys on the current roster LOVE Southern Gospel Quartet singing and work hard to find that sweet four-part harmony that makes this music so special. Take a minute to get to know each of them. (you can click on the names to send them an email)

Rodney Jacobs - Bass
Rodney joined CGQ just two years after the group's inception. As even the founding members had to part ways, Rodney chose to press on with what he believed to be God's calling on his life. He says that even when it seemed that it was inevitable, he just didn't want to let the ministry of Common Garments go and thankfully he followed the Holy Spirit's leading in his life and pressed on. Rodney is owner and manager of CGQ handling the bass singing on the weekends and most of the details throughout the week. He resides in Vienna, Georgia with his wife Angie and their two children Rachel and Landon.

Mark Clark - Tenor
Mark Clark possess one of the most authentic classic Southern Gospel tenor voices you'll ever hear. Having been with Common Garments for five years, Mark was honored and blessed to be given the opportunity to be the first of only three men to fill the shoes of the legendary Archie Watkins when he stood on stage with the Inspirations for a little more than two years. As much as Mark cherished the experience, he didn't feel that was God's ultimate leading for his life and ministry. Returning to Common Garments has been a great fit for Mark's passion to sing Southern Gospel Music. Mark lives in Covington, Georgia with his wife Gay and their children Yancey and Hunter.

Stan Sheppard - Baritone
Stan Sheppard is one of the most personable people you will ever meet and has done an exceptional job singing the baritone part since joining CGQ in 2008. Having traveled with his family for a number of years as the Promise Quartet, Stan brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the group. In addition to singing the middle part, Stan does a lot of booking for the group and handles the majority of the sound system duties. He is the only member of the group who has gray hair and a three year old. Stan lives in Dublin, Georgia with his wife Shannon and their children John Paul, Chris Anne and Stanley Chris (3).
Brett Adams - Lead
The newest member of CGQ, Brett comes as a life-long fan of Southern Gospel Music. You may remember Brett when he filled the baritone slot for a couple of months before Stan joined in 2008. When Darryl Dunn was forced to leave the road due to changes in his employment, Rodney called Brett to see how he felt about taking a whack at singing lead. He agreed and has been with the group now full time since October 2009. Darryl's leaving created not only a huge gap vocally, but also left the group in need of a front man. Brett's experience as a pastor allowed him to step right into this role as well, now serving as the group's emcee. Brett lives in Covington, Georgia with his wife Nikki and their children Montgomery, Emerson and Briley.
